I made this dress for Independent Ballet Wales's production of The Lady of the Lake in May 2010. The design is by Ruth Stringer. This costume has appeared on stage in the ballet which is currently touring the UK. The dress stars in the opening scene where Glythin appears out of the water of the lake. The dress is nearly 10 meters wide and is made from a combination of polyester habotai and chiffon. The bodice and skirt remove separately and the bodice has a quick release lacing system to make the dancer's quick change easier. This dress took approximately 2 weeks to complete.
