This is a pair of fascinators I made for a friends birthday last year. the first is a white sinamay base trimmed with antique lace and decorated with a vintage broach bought in a charity shop. The beading was all done by hand and uses both vintage and modern beads including some reclaimed ceramic roses I found in an old wedding headband. The veil covers half the face and is shaped so it curves around at the side of the head. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of these fascinators being worn.
The second is a similar sinamay base which has been hand covered with grey silk which also lines the underneath. The feathers are a combination of bought and found and the ends are covered with the same grey silk. There are 2 complete watch motions on this fascinator and the parts from a third. One of the motions even moves for a time if the hat is gently tapped.
Although I no longer have these particular fascinators if you would like me to create you something similar please get in touch and we can discuss your ideas.
